Who in the Lion's Front Office can explain why the Lion's all time great Safety and Punter Yale Lary' uniform # 28 isn't retired? It is long overdue for this Championship calibre player.
Yale Lary was the original "Hangtime" Punter with his booming kicks giving the Lions time to cover with little or no return.
Lary shut down half the field as an all-pro safety year after year.
The great Jim Brown said of Yale Lary; "Lary is one of two of the best open field tacklers I ever ran against. The other is Night Train Lane".
