Paula Pasche, a veteran sports writer, covers the Lions for The Oakland Press. She has written a book, "100 Things Lions Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die" which is available at bookstores and on Amazon.com. She won first place for column writing from the Society of Professional Journalists in Detroit (Class B) in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and was The Oakland Press 2010 Staffer of the Year.

What do you think about Tim Wright joining the team
A couple things wrong with this. The Lions are, in fact, extremely boring. Have been so for decades. Interesting you won first place for column writing years ago as a Class B journalist. Does that mean you were MVP of the minor leagues? I'm not at all sure that's something to crow about, seeing as how you never did make it to the majors.
Merrily strew rose petals all you want, Paula, but here's the real deal. After trips to San Diego, Minnesota, back home for Peyton and the Broncos, then off to the slaughterhouse in Seattle, your beloved Lions might well be 0-4. Given how much you continue to hype them, how will you explain that?
Instead of a "live" chat, how about you offer a Lions "dead" chat in January? This year will be no different. Only in Detroit do the suckers actually believe this team has a chance at greatness. You should be ashamed of yourself, Paula, for once again leading the lemmings to their inevitable fate.
