Reggie Bush may know exactly how Marshawn Lynch feels. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll decided to pass on a second-and-goal instead of hand the ball to Lynch to run it in for one yard. The pass was intercepted and the Patriots won the game. When Bush played for Carroll at USC, the Trojans lost the 2006 Bowl Championship Series title game when Bush was on the bench on a key fourth-and-2 play. — As expected for several weeks, Dan Quinn was named head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. The announcement had to wait until after the Super Bowl because Quinn was the defensive coordinator of the Seahawks. Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin had interviewed for the opening and was considered one of the top candidates. So Austin will be back for his second season in Detroit.

— The day after the Super Bowl is the first day that NFL teams can cut players who are under contract for 2015. Not much action so far.

— Tom Brady won a new Chevy truck for being Super Bowl MVP. From many reports, Brady has given the truck to Malcolm Butler, the cornerback who intercepted Russell Wilson on the goal line. It’s a class move by Brady. SUPER BOWL PHOTOS

— More people — 114.4 million — watched the Super Bowl than any other program in U.S. television history. That’s 2.2 million more viewers than last year’s Super Bowl.

— Odds to win the Super Bowl next year are Seahawks 5/1, Patriots 7/1, Packers 8/1. Down the list are the Lions at 33/1, per Bovada. 

— If you missed the story on Sunday, former Lions wide receiver Titus Young has been admitted to a mental health facility in San Diego where he’s been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury.
