ALLEN PARK — No sign of RB Jahvid Best at practice today (Wednesday). Best has missed three games with a concussion.

Also missing were Amari Spievey and Lawrence Jackson. Kyle Vanden Bosch, who typically rests on Wednesdays, was on the field watching but not participating.

Defensive end Willie Young appeared to injure his foot or ankle during the portion of practice open to the media.

The Lions (6-3), who have lost three of their last four, host the Carolina Panthers (2-7) on Sunday.
