Lions add pair of CBs: Houston and Wade

On Monday, the Lions grabbed not one, but two cornerbacks.

The Lions completed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons which will bring 25-year-old Chris Houston to Detroit in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Detroit and Atlanta will also swap fifth-round picks. Houston spent the last three seasons in Atlanta after being drafted in the second round (41st overall) in 2007 coming out of Arkansas.; The Falcons announced the trade Monday night.

The Lions also signed free agent Jonathan Wade, 25, who played the last three seasons in St. Louis. Wade agreed to a deal with the Lions according to ProFootballTalk.com. He was drafted by St. Louis in the third round (84th overall) in 2007 after playing college football at Tennessee.

Detroit had a huge need at cornerback since they released Phillip Buchanon and let Will James and Anthony Henry become unrestricted free agents.
