Ins and outs at practice

ALLEN PARK — Lions starting right guard Stephen Peterman, who left Sunday’s game with a foot injury, did not practice today. Daniel Loper will likely start in his spot. Peterman has started all nine games this season.

Others sitting out practice included defensive end Dewayne White (toe), safety Kalvin Pearson (hamstring), wide receiver Derrick Williams (hip) and linebacker Ernie Sims (hamstring).

Cornerback Phillip Buchanon, who was injured in Sunday’s game, practiced as did safety Louis Delmas who sat out Sunday due to a vicious tooth ache.

Offensive lineman Melvin Fowler, who was signed on Tuesday, practiced today.
