No Wiley on roster

Just got handed the official roster for the Lions' rookie orientation this week, Michigan State safety Otis Wiley is not in camp. No word on where he is yet. Several stories earlier this week indicated he would sign with the Lions or try out as an undrafted free agent instead of taking an opportunity with the Giants.

Also, for the Paris Lenon conspirators, Lenon's No. 53 still hasn't been handed out. Third-round pick DeAndre Levy is wearing No. 54 and seventh-rounder Zach Follett has No. 55.

Other numbers of note: Matthew Stafford, of course, is wearing No. 9, Brandon Pettigrew is No. 84, Louis Delmas No. 26, Derrick Williams No. 13, Sammie Lee Hill No. 79, Aaron Brown No. 41, Lydon Murtha No. 71 and Dan Gronkowski No. 47.

i really hope lenon doesn't come back, but if he does, i'm gonna trust that schwartz sees something with him that the rest of us can't.

Spencer does wear No. 53 now. He had No. 55 on at minicamp two weeks ago. Lenon's stall in the locker room has been taken down since then, too. I'm going to assume that means he won't be back, though Levy had trouble covering running backs on two occasions in camp today. Regardless, I don't read too much into what I see at rookie camp.

I just thought all you Lions fans that dont know much about Levy. I am a huge Badger fan and watch every game. Levy is one hell of a player. Hes an all over the field type player. He hits like a monster and loves contact. I think he weakness is coverage but being a MLB surounded by 2 solid OLB's will do nothing but help him. This guy has good game speed and a motor that doesnt stop. I think the Lions will make him bulk up 15 to 20 lbs. From what I read several other teams liked what they saw in Levy also. A 3rd might have been a little to high of a pick but I realy believe the Lions new coaches know what they are doing and before you know it Lions fans every where will be impressed with Levy. 6'3'' 245 with sub 4.5 speed who hits like a beast.....Urlacher wasnt a true MLB and sucked as a OLB when they tried to convert him from a saftey. He fell into MLB and was a natural! Lets hope the Lions hit a home run with LEVY. I think the draft was a very good one for the Lions too. Top 3 players at their respected positions and a freaks of nature in Sammie Hill and Derrick Williams!
