Lions Lowdown: More thoughts on Millen

The press is posturing that these last 13 games are basically an audtion for both players and personnel. They've got to step, play for their jobs, as their jobs are on the line.

The thing is a lot of these vets the press thinks have to step up, aren't very good. Cody, Lenon, __ fill in the blank{s} __. They weren't very good while Millen was here, and they won't be very good in the post Millen era.

The Fords still think the season is salvagable, 99.9% of the fans, other than those slap happy slappies, think otherwise.

The sooner the rookies get in there, the more experience they will gain, and that will be a positive for the Lions going forward in the new regime.

^ almost completely agree with you, however i don't think the season is lost YET. i ain't a slappy either, but i think with millen gone the energy will be much more positive and players will feel reinvigorated, if you will, and more willing to step it up and produce on the field. of course, the bears game will tell the story, but that's my feeling on it.

as usual, awesome job on the lions lowdown, BUT it wasn't 8 straight years of MEDIOCRITY we've had to deal with....IT'S BEEN 8 STRAIGHT YEARS OF FUTILITY WE'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH.

hopefully, this is the WASHING OF SINS this team has needed and now they'll start this clean slate off on the proverbial right foot.

go lions!
